DCAF: Rooftop Rituals
Al Ismaelia hosted Rooftop Rituals on the rooftop of the El Farida building as part of the Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival (D-CAF). Held on October 10 and 11, 2025, the immersive performance combined movement, music, and audience interaction. Created by Dutch artist Ilja Geelen in collaboration with Egyptian artists Nada Elissa and Marc Labib, the piece explored themes of human connection and shared experience, with shows presented in both Arabic and English.
