One of Downtown Cairo’s most iconic landmarks, Cinema Radio embodies the city’s cosmopolitan spirit. Built in 1932 by architects Max Edrei, Garo Balyan, and Victor Salama, it originally featured Cairo’s largest theater screen. In the 1970s, it was divided into a cinema and a theater. Over the decades, its halls have premiered celebrated Egyptian films, hosted Umm Kulthum, and served as a backdrop for landmark boutiques.
