The 10 Mahmoud Bassiouny building stands as a fine example of early 20th-century Downtown Cairo architecture, characterized by its elegant balconies, intricate ironwork, and harmonious proportions. Originally built during Cairo’s cosmopolitan boom, the building reflects the city’s shift toward European urban planning while maintaining its distinctly Egyptian character. It was designed in 1934 by Italian architect G. E. Falorni and was sold to Edward Tamraz in 1942.
