D-Tour
Inspired by our passion to share Downtown’s timeless stories, Al Ismaelia for Real Estate Investment launched Cairo Downtown Walking Tours (D-TOUR) in 2015, a free experience that welcomes locals and tourists to discover Downtown Cairo’s rich heritage and hidden treasures.

Khotout West El Balad
In collaboration with J.Walter Thompson Advertising Agency (JWT), Khotout West El Balad is an inspiring initiative that was launched in 2015 to preserve Downtown Cairo’s calligraphic heritage by reviving its historic typefaces and reintroducing them in a contemporary form. The project introduced six free downloadable fonts and received international recognition, winning multiple global and regional awards in Cannes Lions 2016, and Dubai Lynx 2016, D&AD and Clio Awards.

Dakhli West El Balad
Launched in 2016, Dakhli West El Balad is the first specialized locations platform dedicated to facilitating access for local and international artists and filmmakers to a diverse range of spaces in the heart of Cairo. The initiative offers a curated portfolio of locations in Downtown Cairo to accommodate various production requirements and creative purposes.

Street Dog Vaccination
In 2023, Al Ismaelia launched a street dog vaccination initiative to make Downtown Cairo safer and more pedestrian-friendly. The program included vaccinating, tagging, and grooming stray dogs around Cinema Radio, The Factory, The Warehouse, and The Garage, ensuring both animal welfare and public safety. Through this effort, Al Ismaelia continues to create a cleaner, calmer, and more welcoming urban environment.

Downtown Tunes
In partnership with Spotify, Al Ismaelia curated Downtown Tunes. an immersive city-soundtrack that offers a musical journey through the heart of Downtown Cairo. The playlist blends legends like Aida El Ayoubi and Fayrouz with ambient beats and modern rhythms, while QR codes on key locations invite listeners to connect with the city’s rhythm in real time. Crafted to reflect Downtown’s heritage and cultural vibrancy, the initiative extends Al Ismaelia’s mission of revitalizing the area through creative and experiential activations.

Al Ismaelia created the Downtown Cairo platform to revive the city’s heart and reconnect people with its heritage. The platform bridges culture, business, and community, showcasing Downtown’s stories, spaces, and transformation. Through digital content and on-ground activations, it highlights local businesses, restored properties, and the district’s creative spirit, positioning Downtown as a vibrant cultural destination.

Cine Radio Awards
Al Ismaelia for Real Estate Investment led a cultural recognition initiative that celebrated individuals and entities who contributed to reviving and enriching Downtown Cairo’s artistic, cinematic, and creative scene, with their contributions featured on the Wall of Fame at Cinema Radio. The initiative honors impactful contributions that reflected cultural influence and a shared commitment to reactivating Downtown Cairo’s heritage spaces.
