Cairo, Egypt, October 23, 2020 – Al Ismaelia for Real Estate Investment is thrilled to announce its participation in the 4^th edition of El Gouna Film Festival taking place October 23^rd till October 31^st with full efforts geared towards ensuring the festival moves forward in the safest environment.

Al Ismaelia initiative, Dakhli West El Balad, will once again be part of CineGouna’s platform and aims to bring together the community to discover award-winning filmmakers and creators as well as celebrate emerging ones.

Dakhli West El Balad, the first specialized platform offering authentic locations, countless landmarks, and buildings with immense history in Downtown Cairo, has intrigued and inspired numerous photographers, filmmakers, and visual artists to choose Downtown Cairo as the setting for their projects. Dakhli offers a variety of places that retain and exude added power and authenticity to the film set.

CineGouna Springboard competition is showcasing various projects by directors and producers from the Arab world seeking creative and financial support. The projects involved include some in development and others in post-production.  All selected projects will be competing for awards that will be decided by a jury of industry experts, including a representative from Al Ismaelia team. The best project in development and film in postproduction will receive a CineGouna Platform Certificate, along with a cash prize Dakhli West El Balad.

This platform highlights the attractiveness of Downtown Cairo and aims to connect filmmakers with these locations to promote cultural interaction. Dakhli locations have a scenic appeal and have been captured in several movies from Sheikh Jackson, Sandook El Donia, to Diesel; TV Series such as L a3la Se3r, and magazines including Vogue Arabia, Marie Claire, Harper Bazaar and countless Egyptian magazines. Also, Dakhli was the backdrop for a myriad of fashion shoots for Kojak, Heba Edris, and many more.

“CineGouna” is a creative hub for filmmakers and artists created to support and empower Egyptian and Arab filmmakers, and helps them find artistic and financial support among Arab and International professionals. A platform dedicated to the discovery of new voices and encouraging mutual understanding through artistic exchanges. In addition, it will present round-tables, workshops, panels, and masterclasses led by International and Regional industry leaders.

Al Ismaelia aims to avail a wide variety of locations for passionate and knowledgeable artists; while fostering better communication through the art of filmmaking in the spirit of cooperation and cultural exchange. Al Ismaelia is committed to the discovery of new talents and enhancing the arts and culture scene in Downtown Cairo.

Al Ismaelia is proud to be present in this festival as it allows the larger audience to appreciate, visualize, and share with each other the beauty of these artistic creations. We chose to partake in CineGouna because of its ability to draw attention of large audiences, educate people and create a pleasant environment by translating thoughts, feelings, and emotions in an imaginative way. Driven by our belief in art as the most universal language for communication, and filmmaking being one of the foremost artistic forms of expression, we chose to take part in this festival in support and celebration of the rising talented filmmakers.
