Driven by its belief that art is the world’s most universal language, Al Ismaelia for Real Estate continues to make its venues home to some of Egypt’s most promising and upcoming artistic talents whose creations are shaping the creative expression of Egypt’s contemporary art movement today. Al Ismaelia looks forward to enchanting its audience with the alluring pieces and invites everyone to revere the brilliance of Egypt’s modern day Visual Art. True to its mission to foster and garner Egyptian art, Al Ismaelia Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO, Karim Shafei, comments, “there is a clear intersection between heritage preservation and art and we are very much aligned with the objective of Art D’Egypte, that aims to position Egypt not only as a heritage of world wonders but also as a celebration of art in all of its forms as a way to interpret the true Egyptian Identity.”
Kicking off this edition, “Eternal Light II” is taking place at The Factory, an exhibition bringing together 12 prominent contemporary artists who transverse works of Ancient Egypt into contemporary art. Building on the enormous success of the inaugural exhibition titled “Eternal Light” in 2017, Art D’Égypte chose this venue with its grandeur to showcase this year’s line-up of artists and art pieces as it transcends all expectations with modern Egyptian works of art. “Artists drew from ancient Egyptian ancestors, an extraordinary motive to reach the depths of our heritage, making a firm bond between Ancient Egyptian civilization and the modernist and contemporary concepts.” said Nadine Abdel Ghaffar founder of Art D’Égypte.
The second exhibition “DOTS” powered by EX by Art D’Égypte features several artists revealing the connection of color and form to create structures that induces a sense of movement and transformation. The Kodak Passageway has become a famed pin location for art exhibitions and culture events, celebrating budding and established artists from all stripes.
Al Ismaelia continues its tradition of escorting the reputable guests on a “City Art Walk” to experience the latest contemporary art that Egypt has to offer, in the heart of the capital. During this tour, the guests will encounter Downtown Cairo’s most reputable architecture unravelling stories behind hidden gems and architectural marvels. The tour aims to unravel the diverse forms of arts and creative expressions in the city’s streets. Art D’Égypte is primarily known for its yearly contemporary Egyptian art exhibitions, attracting artists from all over the world, and this year it is organized at the Giza Plateau.
